On February 6th, 2010, a sunny Saturday in the Pacific West, a bunch of crazy Rychers got up early - after having partied late for three nights and watched two Queensryche Cabaret shows - to drive up to the Lazyboy Brewery run by Sean Loring. Located in Everett in the beautiful state of Washington, which is about 30 minutes North of Seattle, the town is also famous for the largest building in the world, which houses the Boeing factory.

We had a special invite by Anthony Blinn, Whip's buddy & business partner, and started sampling some fine microbrew Ales at a time we usually had breakfast...oh oh ;-). We were already familiar with Michael's new tasty creation "Whip Ale", which had been available for extensive consumption the previous nights - and yes, it is that good!!!

The Master himself was on location for a "top secret" photo shooting with his new local band Wratchet Head (no worries, he is still with the mighty Ryche). And while most of us were already tipsy by midday, I had a little chat with Mastah Whip about the Cabaret, Whip Ale, his side projects, and the upcoming show in Balingen...

PS. Sorry the video lost so much of its original quality with the compression. Also, Youtube cannot not handle more than 10 minutes, so I had to open a new account - hope this will work...

Operation Balingen Part II. - BANG YOUR HEAD 2010 in Balingen

Hard to believe, but it's true: Operation Balingen 2008 will continue! After their fantastic  Mindcrime I + II performance in 2008, Queensryche will return to Germany in 2010!

BYH's official website announces a "Best Of" Program for this show. Apart from the mighty Queensryche, I am happy to experience yet another Ratt show (I have last seen Stephen Pearcy back in 1985 at the legendary Monsters of Rock), Twisted Fucking Sisters and Savatage's Jon Oliva's Pain.

It seems like this year we will welcome fellow Rychers from Greece, Romania, the UK and even Japan!

I wonder if we'll be able to climb the stage once more? Bang that head that doesn't bang!
